Plater Welder

Venatu Recruitment Group are currently seeking an experienced Plater to join a well-established and growing business within the fabrication and engineering industry.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Plater looking for long-term work with a reputable company offering stability, development and a great working environment.

The Role:

• Working from engineering drawings to fabricate and assemble bespoke steel structures.

• Cutting, marking out and shaping materials ready for welding and assembly.

• Working with a variety of materials including mild steel, stainless steel, and heavy plate.

• Operating fabrication machinery including guillotines, presses and flame cutters.

• Quality checking own work to ensure high standards are maintained.

• Working both independently and as part of a team within a busy workshop environment.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience as a Plater within a fabrication, heavy engineering or structural steel environment.

• Strong ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings.

• Good understanding of fabrication techniques and processes.

• Experience working with heavy gauge steel.

• Safety conscious with a good understanding of workshop health & safety procedures.
