Job Vacancy: School Caretaker - Immediate Start, Full Time
Are you a reliable and hardworking individual looking to join a supportive team? We are currently seeking a dedicated School Caretaker to join our school in Chesterfield. This is a full-time role starting immediately and running until the end of the academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Opening and closing the school site at the start and end of each day
- Carrying out general maintenance tasks to ensure the premises are safe and well-maintained
- Regular checks on heating, lighting, and other equipment
- Ensuring cleanliness and tidiness of the school grounds and buildings
- Responding to maintenance requests from staff and ensuring the school is fully operational
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have previous experience in a caretaker or maintenance role (desirable but not essential)
- Be reliable, punctual, and proactive
- Have good communication skills and be able to work independently
- Be comfortable handling basic repairs and maintenance tasks
- Hold a full UK driving licence (desirable)
