About the Role:

Our client, a leading luxury house builder, is looking for an experienced Site / Setting Out Engineer to bring precision and passion to their high-quality residential projects in the North Midlands. In this role, you'll set out and survey for beautiful, bespoke homes that uphold the highest standards in luxury construction. Youll ensure that every foundation, road, and fence line meets our clients rigorous specifications, while working across various exclusive sites within the region.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys both technical challenges and the satisfaction of delivering finely crafted, luxurious homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Site Setting Out: Interpret designs and plans to set out site elements precisely, ensuring alignment with our clients luxury standards.
  • Detailed Surveying & Documentation: Carry out thorough site surveys, record as-built data, and provide clear, accurate reports.
  • Collaborative Project Execution: Work closely with architects, site teams, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless coordination on high-spec projects.
  • Quality & Safety Assurance: Uphold the highest quality control and safety measures on-site to meet both client and regulatory standards.
  • Technical Solutions: Proactively address and resolve technical challenges, ensuring each project runs smoothly and meets luxury standards.
Key Duties:
  • Serve as the technical adviser for subcontractors and craftspeople on-site.
  • Conduct setting out, leveling, and topographical surveys with accuracy.
  • Prepare and format drawings to agreed layering systems and plotting styles.
  • Ensure all materials and work align with the luxury specifications and project plans.
  • Coordinate with local authorities to guarantee compliance with construction regulations.
  • Provide solutions and feedback on-site issues and document findings in comprehensive reports.
  • Organize and manage site facilities and resources to meet project deadlines efficiently.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education: Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or similar field).
  • Certification: Valid CSCS card required.
  • Experience: Solid background as a Site/Setting Out Engineer, with a strong preference for experience in luxury or high-spec construction.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using Total Station, EDM, GPS, and software such as AutoCAD and ISS.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong leadership skills, high attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering top-tier results.
