The RoleOur Automation & Digitalisation teams deliver projects in various industries including Nuclear, Food & Beverage, Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals, Energy/Renewables, Metals and Utilities.Our teams across Chesterfield, Fareham and Warrington deliver solutions using a wide array of technology including Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, AVEVA and many more. These solutions include PLC, HMI, SCADA, MES, Batch, Functional Safety, OT Cyber Security and Industry 4.0.

As part of our continued growth in Automation, we are looking for a Project Manager to join our team in Chesterfield.Reporting to the Head of Projects and working closely with the Project Controls team. The Project Manager is responsible for the Commercial and Technical success of all projects within their portfolio. The Automation Project Manager will provide leadership to project and engineering teams and drive a culture with the highest standards for Health and Safety and Compliance. The person should have extensive experience of managing Automation, Engineering and multidiscipline projects and have proven experience managing project teams.Experience and QualificationsExtensive experience providing Health and Safety and Compliance leadership to project teams.5+ years experience of delivering engineering projects in a the following Automation Sectors:Nuclear (Defence/decommissioning)Food and BeveragePharmaceutical/ChemicalEnergy/RenewablesMetalsUtilitiesStrong leadership & influencing skillsExtensive experience of directly managing multidiscipline project teamsExtensive experience managing a portfolio of projectsExperience of working with QS, Planners and other project controls.Managing Customer interface and relationshipExperience of contract management and forms of contract including:NEC3/4MF1BespokeCDMExcellent knowledge of managing all main project phases i.e. front end, detailed design, construction & commissioning phasesExperience and familiarity with Project and Business software including MS Project, Primavera P6 and SAP.Roles and ResponsibilityResponsibility for a project {Commercially/Contractually}. Work closely with the Management team and Head of Projects on all commercial and contractual aspects for their allocated projects. Responsibility for a project {Technically}.
