Teaching Assistant - Year 5 Class

Location: North Chesterfield Primary school Contract: Full-time, 8.30am - 3.30pm; Immediate Start

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support our Year 5 class on a full-time basis at a small, well-managed primary school in north Chesterfield. You will be joining a welcoming and established team of education professionals committed to providing a supportive and engaging learning environment for our students.

Role Highlights:

  • Class Support: Assisting in a Year 5 classroom, supporting the class teacher with day-to-day activities, and ensuring each child reaches their full potential.
  • PPA Cover: You may be asked to cover some PPA time in the afternoons. Experience in leading a class would be beneficial.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a TA is desirable, especially in a primary school setting.
  • Qualification: A TA qualification is ideal, but we also encourage applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to gain valuable classroom experience.
