Job Role: Work with subject teachers and the SENDCo to support teaching and learning, by working with individuals or small groups of pupils with additional learning needs.

Job Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Work with individuals or small groups of pupils in the classroom under the direct supervision of teaching staff
  • Frequently work with individual pupils with special educational needs
  • Implement planned learning activities/teaching programmes as agreed with the classroom teachers
  • Support independent learning and inclusion of all pupils in each group you are supporting

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience in supporting students with special educational needs
  • Has a strong knowledge and practical understanding of Special Needs (SEN)
  • Previous experience in education settings (6 months minimum)
