We are looking for an experienced CQC Registered Home Care Manager to join our existing leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of care services, ensuring that all operational and legal requirements are met.

Requirements of Post

  • Provide a proven track record and ability to ensure successful registration with the Care Quality Commission as a Registered Manager
  • Take a positive lead in managing and maintaining a documented accountability for the highest standards of residential mental healthcare to all residents and the management and supervision of care staff teams within our service.
  • Be confident and competent in leading with a responsible and proactive stance with all daily operational duties, care management knowledge, ability to plan assessment and delivery of a complete range of mental, physical, and psychosocial care requirements.
  • Maintaining and promoting a culture of continuous service improvement and safety to ensure professional standards and best practice are culturally embedded throughout the business model.
  • In conjunction with your Nominated Individual, quality lead senior care team, review and maintain continuity by structured and organised oversight, ensuring all health & safety and IPC protocols are implemented and maintained to ensure the wellbeing of all service users, within our service.
  • Maintain a structure for all service-related reviews including scheduled/unscheduled risk assessments and care plan updates and audits.
  • Guiding and utilising your senior staff team in following your lead, whilst maintaining responsibility as care management lead for continual monitoring of each service users care delivery, health and wellbeing needs.
  • Maintaining good communication channels to work in conjunction with all relevant commissioners healthcare partners/advocates and family members for positive and best outcomes.
  • Work in conjunction with the leadership team in maintaining all resources and business income to ensure effective use of budgets, growth, and staffing to support the highest standards of care delivery and sustainability within the business structure.
  • Be responsible for all aspects of leadership, development of care delivery, and effective management of care resources including safeguarding and health & safety.
  • Ensure all members of the care team are competent/skilled in their roles and maintain knowledge through structured training and learning.
  • Embrace, understand and deliver all care to our high standards, to work as a team player to meet the strategic aims of the business. This includes responsibility for effective communication and partnership working.
  • To work flexibly to meet the needs of the business including out of hours support.

Key responsibilities:

  • The overall operations of the residential home
  • Staff team coordination, safe staffing, management, meetings
  • Liaising with healthcare partners and all healthcare professionals.
  • Acting as lead in insuring CQC compliance and company policies are formulated to legal requirements always followed and adhered to
  • Working alongside the Nominated Individual and Finance lead team in managing budgets and overall business performance.

Registered Manager requirements

  • Proven management experience as a Registered Manager in a mental health setting coupled with the ability to lead and motivate your staff team
  • Level 5 NVQ or proven progression in working towards the qualification.
  • An embedded knowledge of existing CQC regulations and the ability to maintain an up-to-date skillset in all Health and Social Care legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • The ability to work in conjunction with key stakeholders to strategically plan business stability, and continuity.
  • Proven track record of business, and financial strategy, marketing within the private care sector.
  • Commitment to achieve an 'Outstanding rating within your registration, coupled with delivery of the highest quality person-centred care.
  • Ability and confidence to build and maintain relationships with colleagues, families, and internal / external professionals.
  • To maintain high quality assurance to CQC standards
  • To manage the Care Team and the Senior Support Workers.
  • To ensure that a high-quality care service is provided which meets the needs of the service users and maintains the service users dignity and autonomy.
  • To be fully aware of all the Organisations' policies and procedures and ensure that these are intrinsically linked to service provision.
