Our client, operating in the Automation sector, is currently seeking a Senior Controls Engineer for a contract role. This position requires a highly skilled individual with expertise in SCADA, PLC's, Electrical Design, and Controls Engineering. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and committed team member, ensuring the technical delivery of project solutions within scope, budget, and time-scale targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Taking full responsibility for the successful technical delivery of complete project solutions in line with company procedures
- Proactively allocating tasks among team members and supervising, assisting, and monitoring progress
- Advising the project manager on progress, risks, and issues
- Collaborating with the Project Manager and engineering team to ensure smooth project progress according to the agreed project lifecycle
Job Requirements:
- Experience in handling the full project lifecycle from system specification through design, development, testing, and on-site commissioning
- Proficiency in developing and delivering detailed design documentation
- Hands-on delivery experience, particularly with Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, AVEVA, or Ignition PLC and SCADA systems
- Good understanding of Control panels, electrical installation, and Instrumentation solutions
- Experience in developing Operations & Maintenance documentation
- Ability to develop project modules such as PLC code modules, SCADA scripts, mimics, and communication drivers
- Proficiency in developing site work documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and site test documentation
