Senior Electronic Design Engineer Chesterfield £40,000 - £50,000 Office Based - Mon-Fri 8:30am-4:30pm The Engineering & Manufacturing division of SF Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Senior Electronics Design Engineer to join one of our clients based in Chesterfield. This is a standalone position, which will require the successful candidate to manage and develop new electronic product ideas and bring to fruition electronic products from various stakeholders within and outside the business. Scope of role - To manage development projects all the way from initial research, through design, prototyping, manufacturing, and delivery to the marketplace. - Create detailed product specifications, hardware designs, prototypes, and embedded software to deliver required functionality. - Ensure manufacturers and suppliers are briefed accurately, effectively and meet required deadlines. - Ensure product feasibility and produce a calculation/study for any capital projects. Essential Criteria - Experience of designing digital and analogue systems (including component selection and PCB schematics). - Experience of using hardware development packages, such as Eagel and Altium - Experience in coding Firmware in 'C' and any knowledge of coding in 'C++' would be a distinct advantage. - Be confident when liaising with customers, demonstrating technical and product understanding to resolve their issues.
