Are you part qualified or qualified Accountant and looking for your first role at Manager level?

We are delighted to be working exclusively with a well-established family-run SME business who have a longstanding presence across the Derbyshire and Yorkshire region

Reporting to the Finance Director the role will deliver robust and accurate financial information, day to day management of the finance department and support the wider business in achieving commercial objectives

  • Produce accurate monthly management accounts on a timely basis, including profit and loss accounts, cash flow, and detailed balance sheet analysis. Be prepared to go from ledger entry to final statements
  • Prepare and maintain ongoing cash flow forecasts
  • Periodic (daily/weekly/monthly) reporting and analysis to track, analyse and improve business performance
  • Carry out continuous reviews of finance and other business practices and processes to optimise customer service, efficiency and cost effectiveness
  • Foreign exchange management
  • Produce all information required for the annual audit and be key point of contact for the audit team
  • Involvement in annual budget process
  • Other ad hoc duties and wider business project support as required

You will be;

  • Qualified and have experience working within a SME finance department or first time mover from chartered practice
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbally and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
