The Role:

We are looking for motivated Cover Supervisors to oversee classes during teacher absences, ensuring that students remain engaged and on task. In these temporary roles, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set lesson materials, maintaining classroom discipline, and supporting student learning. These roles could be made permanent depending on the candidates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of the teacher.

  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students stay on task.

  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and respect.

  • Support students with their learning and answer any questions they may have.

  • Uphold school policies and procedures, including behaviour management and safeguarding.

Minimum Requirements:

To be considered for these roles, candidates must meet the following minimum criteria:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a school setting, tutoring, mentoring, or working with young people.

  • Qualifications: A degree or relevant experience in education is desirable, but not essential.

  • Training: Experience in classroom management or behaviour support is advantageous. Familiarity with safeguarding policies and procedures.

  • Skills: Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to engage and manage students effectively.
