We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work on a one-to-one basis with a Year 2 child with physical disabilities at a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Chesterfield. This is a full-time position, starting as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to a child with physical disabilities throughout the school day

  • Assist with toileting and personal care needs in a respectful and dignified manner

  • Support the child across different classes and help facilitate access to learning

  • Offer supportive supervision and encouragement during break and lunchtime periods

  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure consistent, high-quality support

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Be kind, patient, and resilient, with a strong desire to support children with additional needs

  • Have experience working in education, care, or with children with physical disabilities

  • Hold a Moving and Handling qualification (or be willing to undertake training)

  • Have a background in care or personal support (desirable)

  • Be able to work well within a team and communicate effectively with staff and parents
