You’ll support the IDVA team to provide short to medium term support to high-risk victims of domestic abuse. You’ll help the Service Manager to achieve high customer engagement levels and deliver person-centred support packages while building positive relationships to support customers.
Job requirements

Work in partnership with the Service Manager to make sure customers accessing the service receive a professional, timely and coordinated response, with up to date, relevant information regarding options available to them.

Support customers directly, including by representing them at multi-agency forums such as MARAC.

Work in partnership with the Service Manager to effectively manage caseloads and allocate cases to the IDVA Team within 48 hours of accepting a referral.

Support the Service Manager to ensure case management is of a high standard. Carry out regular and robust case file audits.

Coordinate the provision of the duty rota system in collaboration with the IDVA Team.

Assist with all aspects of the recruitment, training and induction of IDVA team members in line with Glow recruitment policy and procedures.

Respond appropriately to any safeguarding concerns, demonstrating an understanding of safeguarding the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
What they’re looking for

Good standard of education including GCSE English and Maths, or qualified by significant experience.

Experience of supervision/coaching of staff or volunteers, of managing performance and achieving targets through review of individual and team practice.

A minimum of 12 months experience of supporting individuals who have experienced domestic violence, forced marriage or 'honour-based violence’ in an IDVA role or equivalent.

You’ll have achieved, or be willing to complete, an IDVA qualification.

An excellent understanding of the criminal justice system and relevant legislation about legal and civil options, housing, benefits, matrimonial and children.

Experience of partnership working and of maintaining excellent working relationships with a range of stakeholders.

Good crisis management skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure and to deadlines.

Good data collection, monitoring and IT skills, including word processing and using databases and spreadsheets.

An inspirational leader who can coach, develop and empower others by supporting a culture of continuous improvement.

DBS check.

Full UK driving licence with access to own vehicle for work.
