Salary: £12.76 p/h OT over 40 hours £13.86 p/h
12 hours shift ( 4 days on / 4 days off) 19:00 - 07:00
We are recruiting for a Transport Administrator for one of our clients based in Chesterfield. Admin roles include dealing with transport & warehouse functions and working in an office within a chill warehouse.

Requirements:
- Great attention to detail and is accurate at speed;
- Admin experience;
- Team Player, can work under pressure and can prioritize key tasks;
- Skilled in IT, Google docs etc & proficient in Office packages inc Excel & word;
- Dealing with operatives, drivers & managers;
- Full training provided.
Responsibilities:
As a Transport Administrator, you will:
Dispatch drivers using ESP- Give them a trip sheet and keys, inform them what they'll be doing e.g. delivery or collections and give them any relevant information such as maps, barcodes, or bags for decker drivers
- Using Booking Portal to create barcodes for loads going to other Gist depots
- Track loads for warehouse and email them through
- Answer the phone and deal with any customer or driver queries
- Arrange breakdown/callouts for units and trailers out on the road and keep a log in the vehicle defect book
- Liase with customer services on any issues with customers or drivers at customer sites
- Complete trackers such as Pizza and Site D detailing arrival and departure times from customer site, as well as sending constant emails to said customer for updates of the tracker
- Respond to emails from customers and other depots, e.g. chasing ETA's
- Use Microlise to track drivers so we can use that information to fill in trackers, send ETA updates and inform customers of said ETA's
- Debrief drivers who have finished their runs, signing the trip sheets and completing the remaining debrief of the route on ESP along with using tachomaster to make sure drivers are adhering to driving standards
- Archiving all the previous months trip sheets into drawers daily.
- Contacting any drivers with any changes to their runs, then make the relevant amendments on ESP
- Use live bays to see what loads have paperwork ready and make sure they're dispatched to time
- Chase the warehouse for load ETA's and plan accordingly so drivers have enough time to complete their runs
- Answering the front gate buzzer and liaising with the correct host who can then let the visitors in
