LTF Recruitment are working on an outstanding role within one of our inclusive partnered alternative provisions in Chesterfield. This SEN school are eager for a passionate teaching assistant to join their support staff working with children who have special educational needs. This teaching assistant role is ideal for those with the career ambition to work within education.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Working with the classroom teacher to help promote a positive learning environment that adheres to the individual needs including ASD and ADHD.
  • Building relationships with children's parents to ensure ongoing development and make parents aware of the student's progress.
  • Set individual targets and monitor them closely to help design appropriate learning material.
  • Promote and reinforce self-esteem and encourage achievement and development in students.

The Ideal candidate will have:

  • A flexible attitude and be able to adapt approach to meet learners' needs.
  • Have experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs.
  • Be able to form effective relationships with staff and pupils.
  • Be adaptable and ready to work in a variety of classroom roles, both indoors and outside according to individual need.
