Are you a skilled teaching assistant looking for your next rewarding opportunity in education? Long Term Futures is currently recruiting an enthusiastic AP Teaching Assistant to support one of our client Alternative Provision (AP) schools in Chesterfield.
As a teaching assistant in this unique setting, you will play a vital role in guiding the educational journey of students facing diverse challenges, including social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties. Your role will involve collaborating closely with students, tailoring your teaching strategies to meet their individual needs, and fostering engagement through innovative and dynamic approaches.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with the teacher to deliver alternative and engaging approaches for students with SEN needs, such as ASD and ADHD.
- Setting achievable targets for students and tracking their progress.
- Ensuring each student can access and maximize their potential.
- Supporting students through challenges and helping resolve issues effectively.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have prior experience working with SEN students.
- Be skilled at building strong relationships with both pupils and staff.
- Display excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Be compassionate and dedicated.
- Hold a full UK driving license.
