Are you looking for a full-time teaching assistant role in a supportive alternative provision setting?
Long Term Futures require an enthusiastic and resilient teaching assistant to support secondary aged pupils in a thriving alternative provision. This role involves working closely with the class teacher and other support staff, providing a positive and encouraging environment for all pupils. The position is initially offered on a long-term basis, with the aim of becoming a permanent member of staff after a successful given period.


What is required of you:
* Having a positive personality and being able to build strong relationships with both pupils and staff.
* Encouraging the pupils to engage in the curriculum and providing 1-1 or small group support across the classroom.
* Using a calm and nurturing approach to help deescalate high risk situations with pupils and providing behaviour management across the school.


The Ideal Candidate:
* Experience of working with pupils with challenging behaviour or SEN/SEMH needs is desirable.
* Experience of working with pupils in education, preferably a secondary setting.
* MUST be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle.
