We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our client based in Chesterfield. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining precision machinery and mechanical equipment, ensuring smooth operations within their facility. Machinery includes CNC & Manual Lathes, Deep Hole Borers & CNC Millers

Description

As Mechanical Maintenance Engineer you will be tasked with the following;

  • Conduct routine maintenance procedures on machinery and equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues promptly to minimise downtime
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
  • Supervise maintenance staff, providing guidance and leadership
  • Utilise logic controllers to diagnose and rectify faults
  • Demonstrate proficiency in electrical systems and mechanical knowledge
  • Uphold high standards of customer service when interacting with internal teams
  • Perform welding tasks to repair equipment as needed

Profile

A successful Maintenance Engineer should have:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the Industrial / Manufacturing industry
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • A meticulous eye for detail
  • The ability to work well in a team
  • Proficiency in utilising various tools and equipment
  • A strong understanding of health and safety regulations
