Production Manager Location: ChesterfieldSalary: £50,000Elevation Recruitment are working with a well-established manufacturer looking for a proactive and hands-on Production Manager to oversee manufacturing activities and ensure operational excellence across the board.

About the Role

As Production Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of daily, weekly, and monthly production targets. With line management responsibility for Production Team Leaders and indirect leadership over wider production teams, your focus will be on achieving manufacturing sales revenue, ensuring on-time order fulfilment, optimising team performance, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities of the Production Manager include:

  • Deliver monthly manufacturing sales revenue targets
  • Manage production arrears and ensure OTIF (on-time, in-full) customer order fulfilment
  • Ensure appropriate workforce levels based on production demand
  • Track and report on key manufacturing KPIs, identifying areas for improvement
  • Lead and contribute to improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects
  • Promote a positive, productive working environment, leading by example
  • Maintain accurate digital records including stock, personnel, and quality systems
  • Consistently meet KPIs across production efficiency, cost variance, labour utilisation, and quality performance

About You

We’re looking for a capable and confident leader with a proven background in production or manufacturing management. You’ll bring a strong understanding of lean processes, workforce planning, and performance tracking, along with the ability to inspire and develop your teams.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience leading teams in high-volume manufacturing
  • Organised and methodical with excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with production control and inventory systems
  • Proven experience of managing production targets including OEE & OTD
