Role: Production Technician
Location: Chesterfield
Salary: £29,000 – £30,000
3 shift pattern - Monday – Friday – 6am – 2pm / 2pm – 10pm / 10pm – 6am
This is an excellent opportunity for a Production Technician to join a leading engineering business, operating in a wide range of industries including aerospace, defence, automotives and transportation.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow company Safety, Health and Environmental procedures at all times.
- Prepare, load, operate and unload products according to written procedures and instructions.
- Unpack HIP loads according to written procedures and instructions.
- Complete the required documentation accurately
- Inform the Production Manager or Shift Supervisor of any problems
- Assist in any area of production as directed by the Shift Supervisor.
- Ensure that suppliers, customers and drivers are dealt with courteously and efficiently at all times.
- Assist with Goods In and Despatch duties.
- Operate the forklift truck as required.
- Deliver / collect goods to / from customers if required.
- Assist with minor maintenance activities
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping at all times and carry out general housekeeping tasks.
Qualifications & Experiences
- Previous production/engineering/manufacturing background
- Good general education, good literacy, numeracy and IT competence
- FLT operator desirable but can be trained
- Attention to detail
