Ford and Stanely are looking for electrical fitters with experience conducting wiring, crimping, looming and assembling wiring harnesses to fit onto rolling stock vehicles.

The Opportunity
Hands-on Electrical Technician required in the midlands, carrying out electrical assembly and installation for a market leader in the design, assembly, and installation of specialist rail improvement modifications on a Monday to Friday, day shift basis,

Chesterfield, Derbyshire, Mansfield, Sheffield, 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Electrical wiring and assembly of components for rolling stock vehicles
  • Building wiring looms and competent at crimping 
  • Fitting of electrical components to large systems and vehicles
  • Manufacturing of electrical systems in an engineering environment
  • Following electrical diagrams to complete installation and fitting activities

The Candidate

  • You will be a great team worker
  • You will be able to operate a variety of engineering-specific tooling
  • Must be able to read and interpret schematics drawings

Essential

  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in an Electrical discipline
  • Experience working in an electrically biased position in an engineering environment
  • Able to do continuity testing after assembly
  • Experience wiring, crimping and looming

Desirable

  • Electrical maintenance experience
  • Experience with electrical testing and fault-finding procedures
  • Full UK Driver’s License 
  • Previous experience with TE connectors
