Major Recruitment areseeking a proactive and tech-savvy Sales Administrator to join their dynamic team on a temp-to-perm basis for our client based in Chesterfield. This role involves managing sales order processing, maintaining customer accounts, and providing excellent administrative support.

Working Hours + Salary

  • Monday to Friday
  • 08:30 - 17:00 or 08:00 - 16:00
  • 24,000 per annum
  • 40 Hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process sales orders efficiently, including EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) transactions.
  • Manage and maintain multiple customer accounts, ensuring all information is up-to-date.
  • Oversee POD (Proof of Delivery) orders and ensure timely processing.
  • Handle general administrative duties, including filing, data entry, and document management.
  • Coordinate transport requests and liaise with logistics teams to ensure smooth delivery operations.
  • Utilize CRM and bespoke systems to manage customer interactions and data.
  • Conduct Teams calls and warm calls with manufacturers, suppliers, and customers to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Collaborate with a young and energetic team of 8 to achieve departmental goals.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Prepare and distribute reports and documentation as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a sales administration or similar role.
  • Strong technical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Confident in liaising with customers over the phone and via email.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and order processing.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ideally, candidates should drive or live locally due to unreliable bus services in the area.
