A primary school in Chesterfield is seeking a dedicated and experienced Year 5 teacher to cover a maternity leave from April 2025 to April 2026. This part-time role (Wednesday to Friday) requires a committed professional who can undertake full teaching responsibilities, including planning, assessment, and attendance at staff meetings.
About the Role:- Teaching a Year 5 class, ensuring high-quality learning and engagement.
- Planning and assessing in line with the curriculum.
- Preparing students for transition into Year 6 and eventual SATs success.
- Attending staff meetings and collaborating with the wider school team.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Experience teaching Upper Key Stage 2, particularly in Year 5 and Year 6.
- A track record of maximising pupil progress and preparing students for Year 6 SATs.
- Strong classroom management and the ability to inspire and motivate learners.
