AP Teaching Assistant | Chesterfield, S41 | £90-£105 | Long-term to perm | ASAP

Are you an experienced teaching assistant seeking a new challenge in education? Long term futures are currently looking for a new AP teaching assistant to help one of our client AP schools in Chesterfield.

As a teaching assistant in this alternative provision, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational journey of students who face various challenges, including social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties. You will work closely with a diverse group of students, adapting your teaching methods to meet individual needs and promoting engagement through innovative and creative approaches.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Working side by side with the teacher to provide an alternative approach that is also stimulating for students with SEN needs including ASD & ADHD
  • Setting targets for students and monitoring progress,
  • Ensuring every student can access and reach their fullest potential
  • Helping students through any issues they have and coming to an appropriate solution

The right candidate will:

  • Have prior experience working with SEN students
  • Be able to form strong relationships with both pupils and teachers
  • Clear communication and teamwork skills
  • Must be caring and compassionate
  • Must hold a full UK driving License
