What would working as a Primary Teaching Assistant in Chesterfield entail?

  • Working hours of 8.15am to 3.45pm
  • Supporting children on both a 1:1 and group basis
  • Implementing creative ideas to bring children on course
  • Having knowledge of the EYFS, KS1 or KS2 curriculum
  • Adhering to the school safeguarding policy and ensuring the safety of all pupils in your care
  • Adhering to the school behaviour policy
  • Completing and encouraging education and training
  • Working in a variety of schools in the Chesterfield area
  • Rate of pay between £83.33 to £90.00 per day (Inclusive of holiday pay and dependent upon experience and qualifications).

What do you need to become a Primary Teaching Assistant with Academics?

  • Experience supporting children within a primary classroom setting ideally 6 months or more
  • A Level 2 or 3 Qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (Desireable)
  • An enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to process a new one
  • A 'can do' attitude
  • A personable and nurturing approach
  • Willingness to partake in relevant education and training
  • The ability to commute across the area of Chesterfield
