Inspire Resourcing are recruiting for a Senior Quality Inspector role in the Chesterfield area for a well-known engineering company in the Chesterfield area.

Responsibilities, duties, and tasks:

Lead the facility on all aspects of inspection.
Ensure consistent inspection methods and standards are met across the department.
Complete inspection of customer product to ensure it meets order requirements and standards utilising your experience and product knowledge.
Highlight any quality related issues or concerns using appropriate methods and procedures.
Develop and implement a plan for the introduction of in cycle inspection into production by offering leadership, guidance, training, and generation of work instruction (W.I.) as appropriate.
Responsible for ensuring accurate data capture within the area eg Javelin booking disciplines.
Monitor Quality data daily using the Power BI quality dashboard, and report issues to production team.
Where required, conduct investigations into customer complaints and NCRs
Ensure compliance with the company FAIR procedures.
All measurement equipment is calibrated and recorded in line with quality manual.
Accountable for the creation and implementation of QDAS
Use SPC data to drive improvements in our quality inspection processes.
Consult on new product introduction as required.
Build up the quality processes within the operational flow, embedding operator feature based measurement at point of manufacture.

Maintain EH&S standards in line with company policy.
Attend and participate in daily meetings as required, taking an active role.

Experience:

Strong background in manufacturing
Sound knowledge of inspection techniques and methods
Consistency in approach to inspection
Strong IT skills and experience, including MS Office, in particular Excel

Qualifications/ training:

General Engineering qualification BTEC/HNC

Hours and salary:

37 hour working week
Regular days
flexible start times
£35k-40k depending on experience
