UK Quality Manager - Chesterfield

Expansion has created a new career opportunity for this this well-established, International manufacturing Group. Reporting to the Group Quality Manager you will be responsible for 3 UK sites acting as the voice of quality throughout the organisation. You will lead continuous improvement of the Quality Management System and champion change management process, driving the commitment to quality.

You will be based at the Derbyshire 30,000sq.ft site, implementing ISO14001 and ISO45001 within the next 12 months and arranging internal audits of these 2 standards as well as ISO9001 across the Group. Working with the quality engineers you will ensure that the Company is compliant with any new legislation and changes to existing legislation; undertake site and project quality inspections; monitor health and safety risks in the workplace; manage the quality team, including KPI settings and professional development. You will also work closely with the purchasing managers to manage the supplier approval process, ensuring supplier status on the ERP system is up to date, at all times.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Quality Manager within a manufacturing environment with a thorough knowledge of manufacturing systems, processes, products and industry practices. You should be experienced in preparing for and managing internal and external audits by regulatory bodies. You should have a proven track record of driving continuous quality improvement and a strong understanding of business operations and financial principals. As the UK Manager you should have exceptional leadership and management skills to lead the quality department to ensure targets and objectives are met.
