Role Purpose:

To oversee and co-ordinate a set of related or interdependent projects, products, and/or other strategic initiatives across the organisation, and ensure the strategic alignment of these projects with the organisation's overall goals.

Key Accountabilties:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that the scope and requirements of individual projects aligns with the strategic programme objectives
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive programme plan which includes defining key programme milestones, deliverables, timelines and resource allocation, and maps to the specific project plans within the programme.
  • Proactively assess programme risks and issues, develop mitigation plans, and ensure timely resolution
  • Support stakeholders to build and refine programme and project budgets and ensure that those budgets are adhered to, allocating resources effectively across projects within the programme
  • Continuously monitor dependencies within and outside of the programme, ensuring collaboration and alignment with stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery and implementation
  • Monitor progress across projects within the programme and track milestones, identifying deviations or changes to plan and taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Oversee business change activities (e.g. communications and training) for all impacted stakeholders, ensuring smooth transition and adoption of new processes or systems
  • Communicates effectively to foster and facilitate collaboration, manage stakeholder expectations, and provide informal and formal updates and reports on progress.
  • Ensure adherence to programme and project governance and controls to maintain consistency and transparency and drive continuous improvement in programme and project delivery by sharing and implementing best practice and lessons learned.

Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of multiple programme and project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, SAFe, Waterfall).
  • Setting and aligning project and programme activities to a strategic vision.
  • Relevant manufacturing industry knowledge.
  • Risk management and mitigation strategies.
  • Reasonable understanding of technology.

  • Experience working in or alongside IT projects/colleagues and demonstrating a reasonable understanding of technology.
