About the Role:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and reliable Dump Truck Operative with experience in operating rollers to join our team on a new build housing project in Chesterfield. You will play a key role in the development of the site, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of dump trucks and rollers to support earthmoving, compaction, and other groundwork activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a Dump Truck on a large-scale housing site
  • Operate a Roller to compact earth, gravel, and other materials, ensuring levels meet project specifications
  • Conduct daily equipment checks and maintenance to ensure safe and effective operation
  • Work closely with site management and other team members to complete tasks efficiently and on time
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment on-site
  • Follow instructions from the Site Manager and communicate effectively with the team
  • Report any issues with equipment or operations immediately to supervisors
  • Ensure the site remains tidy and organised at all times

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Blue CPCS Card or NPORS Card with CSCS logo is essential
  • Proven experience operating dump trucks and, ideally, rollers on construction or civil engineering sites
  • Strong understanding of site health and safety protocols
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a larger construction team
  • Good communication skills and the ability to take direction
  • High attention to detail, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standard
