Your new companyWe are working with a growing business in Sheffield. They are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity.

Your new role

  • Engage in daily accounting duties such as processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports.
  • Assist the finance team by ensuring accurate financial records are maintained and addressing enquiries related to accounts payable and receivable.
  • Contribute to the month-end and year-end closing activities, including recording and assigning customer payments to Sage accounts.
  • Manage bank and cash flow operations by conducting daily bank reconciliations and updating the cash flow model.
  • Generating debtor and creditor lists, completing VAT returns, and producing various financial reports.
  • Oversee payroll processes, manage pension schemes, and handle year-end payroll tasks. Additionally, support the preparation of year-end accounts and assist with audit processes.
