Are you ready to transform lives and create a lasting impact in alternative education?

We are seeking a passionate and resilient teacher to join our dynamic partnered Alternative Provision, delivering innovative and inclusive lessons to students who are looking to progress outside of mainstream education. This is your chance to make a real difference by empowering students with diverse needs, including SEMH challenges and SEND, to achieve their full potential.

The Role

As a teacher in our AP setting, you'll deliver core subjects like English, Maths, or Science in small group or 1:1 settings. In addition to teaching, you'll play a vital role in:

  • Delivering engaging and tailored lessons designed to meet the needs of students with SEMH and SEND.
  • Providing behaviour support and using positive behaviour management techniques to help students overcome barriers to learning.
  • Collaborating with parents and carers to share progress and provide strategies for continued success.
  • Supporting the development of SEMH-specific training for partner schools, promoting inclusive teaching practices.
  • Building relationships that promote restorative practices, emotional resilience, and a pathway to reintegration into mainstream settings or alternative pathways.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (applications from ECTs and NQTs are welcomed).
  • Subject specialism in English, Maths, or Science.
  • At least 6 months' experience working within an SEMH or alternative provision setting.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding practices and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • A full UK driving licence and the ability to travel locally.
  • Resilience, empathy, and a dedication to fostering inclusive education and positive behaviour support
