We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Design Technology Technician to join our team at our academy in Chesterfield. This full-time, temporary role offers an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of high-quality Design Technology education. The position is available for immediate start and will run until the end of the academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of Design Technology equipment, materials, and resources.
Support students and staff during lessons, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
Maintain and ensure the proper use of machinery and tools in the department.
Ensure the department is fully stocked with required materials, ordering and managing stock levels.
Help prepare practical lessons and demonstrations, providing technical expertise.
Support health and safety procedures in line with academy policy.
About You:
Experience in a Design Technology or similar technical field is essential.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Excellent communication skills to support both students and teaching staff.
A proactive, problem-solving approach and a willingness to contribute to a vibrant academy community.
A passion for helping students excel in Design Technology.
