We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Religious Education (RE) Teacher to join our large, thriving secondary school in Chesterfield. This full-time position begins in January 2025 and is a fixed-term contract until July 2025. The successful candidate will join an established and supportive Humanities Department, working alongside experienced colleagues in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach RE to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the curriculum.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students achieve their best.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including attending meetings, participating in department activities, and supporting extra-curricular initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Religious Education.
  • A commitment to fostering a positive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Previous experience teaching RE at secondary level is desirable but not essential.
