We are looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join a small Nursery and Infant school in Chesterfield, starting as soon as possible on a fixed-term contract until July 2025.
The role involves providing one-to-one support to a Year 1 child in the morning and assisting across Key Stage 1 classes in the afternoon.
Candidates should have experience supporting SEND students in a school setting, as well as knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
A Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or above) is desirable, and a calm, patient, and nurturing approach is essential.

About the Role:

Location: Chesterfield
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Contract: Fixed-term until July 2025

Key Responsibilities:

Morning: Providing one-to-one support to a child in Year 1
Afternoon: Supporting across Key Stage 1 classes
Assisting with the delivery of the curriculum and interventions
Supporting children with SEND needs to ensure an inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

Experience supporting SEND students in a school setting
Knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum
A calm, patient, and nurturing approach to supporting young learners
A Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or above) is desirable
