We are looking for an outstanding Registered Manager to join our Children's Residential Home located in Chesterfield and Mansfield

We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager to oversee the management of two of their residential services.

The role of Manager within our Childrens Homes is diverse and challenging which requires flexibility, effective planning and the ability to promptly respond to challenging situations.

Registered Home Manager Key Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for the operational management of 2 single occupancy homes.
  • To have sound knowledge of Ofsted
  • Manage and lead the large team of support staff.
  • Supervision, coaching, performance management and support of staff.
  • Work Closely with Head of Care
  • Have a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Maintaining high standards of environmental safety/quality and ensuring a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere

Registered Home Manager Requirements

  • You must have a full clean driving license.
  • Level 5 in Residential childcare or working towards.
  • Experienced as a Registered Children's Home Manager / Deputy Manager.
  • Good awareness of Ofsted legislation, updates, changes and best practice.
  • Has broad experience of managing people, service and quality within Children's homes.
  • Be active team player with good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Liaising with other departments and specialist external agencies to ensure that the young people receive appropriate plans, programmes and support in the home.
  • Managing the complex behaviours of the children and young people to encourage them to engage in a positive and structured routine, including supporting in crisis intervention.
  • You must be flexible, sometimes with short notice.
  • You must be available to cover on call rota, during this period you must be available to attend the home should there be any safeguarding concerns raised.
  • Due to the standards set by the regulatory body candidates applying for this role must be over 21 years old.

  • Able to promote and maintain independence, choice and respect.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills and the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Other duties commensurate with the level and nature of the post
