Here at Sugarman Health and Wellbeing we are currently recruiting a Support Worker based in Chesterfield. We are we are looking for outgoing females who want to make a difference to the people we support. This role is Supporting a female with autism who is non-communicative but uses Makaton and visuals, she can display behaviours that challenge and signs of anxiety and distress when she feels people do not understand her. She is unaware of some risks and requires support to meet this need. She has a good sense of humour and very much enjoys company, animals, dancing, baking, water play, trampolining and walking. The individual has her own guinea pig who she looks after and loves very much. The young female will need support with maintaining her own home, promoting independence and supporting to health appointments.
Applicant requirements:
CLEAR ENGLISH COMMUNICATION SKILLS.

Knowledge in Makaton, positive behaviour support, autism and behaviours that challenge would be an advantage, but all training will be given
The enthusiasm to learn and experience new things
