About the Role:
Academics is seeking a dedicated and passionate Engagement Officer to join a dynamic Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Chesterfield. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of young people, helping them to re-engage with education and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engagement strategies to support students' academic and personal development.
- Work closely with students, parents, and staff to identify barriers to learning and develop tailored support plans.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting student well-being and resilience.
- Monitor and report on student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary to ensure success.
- Collaborate with external agencies and stakeholders to provide comprehensive support for students.
- Participate in regular training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in an educational setting, preferably within a PRU or similar environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
- A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and challenges.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education, youth work, or a related field (preferred).
