Allen Lane are delighted to be supporting a public sector organisation based in Derbyshire in their search for an Infrastructure Engineer on a permanent basis. Please note that whilst this is a hybrid role, you will be required on site 2/3 days per week. The organisation has a number of sites locally, so access to a vehicle for work purposes would be beneficial.
The role
As an infrastructure engineer you will:
- Manage the day-to-day administration of Azure including operational challenges and maintenance backups
- Design and build scalable infrastructure solutions
- Provide technical testing and analysis in relation to systems projects and BAU Activities
- Build and maintain a good knowledge base of key activities and infrastructure data
- Configuration of Autopilot and SCCM Co-Managed Windows devices with Intune for Windows Updates
- Ensure change requires and orders are raised with infrastructure partners for both BAU and project-led works
- Establish good relationships with 3rd party vendors to support progress of issues and service optimization
- Travel to sites locally to deal with any issues/incidents relating to the Infrastructure provision
Key skills required
As an Infrastructure Engineer you will have experience in the following areas:
- Azure AD - including administration
- Cisco
- VMware
- M365
- Intune
- ESXI (up to version 8 ideally)
- Rubrik Backup
- SDDC
What you get in return
A salary between £44,000 - £48,000 plus benefits including a generous annual leave entitlement and pension.
