Are you a patient, dedicated and caring Teaching Assistant looking for a challenging and rewarding role? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team at a Pupil Referral Unit in Chesterfield.

We are looking for a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible, working from 8.30am to 4.20pm Monday to Thursday, and Fridays with a finish time of 3.50pm on Fridays. Although the pupils may be challenging, they are not violent. You will be working with pupils who have persistent disruptive behaviour and frequently use inappropriate language.

The successful candidate will have a passion for supporting young people with SEND needs and have experience working with pupils with challenging behaviour. You will be responsible for supporting teaching and learning, monitoring the corridors, helping serve lunch, supporting pupils in crisis, monitoring pupils out of class, supporting with drinks and toilet runs, break/lunch time duty.
