About the Role:
As a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will play a pivotal role in assisting students with SEN to overcome learning barriers and reach their full potential. Collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. This role offers a chance to make a significant difference in the lives of students.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualised education plans tailored to the specific needs of students with SEN.
Provide one-on-one support to help students understand and complete their work, offering additional explanations and assistance as needed.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers and adjusting support strategies as necessary.
Participate in meetings and discussions to share insights and strategies for supporting students’ learning and well-being.
Foster a welcoming and supportive environment where students feel valued and included.
Utilise diverse instructional techniques and materials to cater to the varied learning styles and needs of students.
Maintain detailed records of student development and communicate this information to teachers, parents, and other relevant parties.

Requirements:

Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
Ability to establish trust and rapport with all members of the school community.
Commitment to supporting students with SEN, demonstrating patience and empathy in interactions.
Additional qualifications or training in special education are advantageous but not mandatory.

The right to work in the UK.
An up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
An enhanced DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply for one with GSL Education.
