As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting students with SEN needs, including:- Challenging Behaviour- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)- Emotional and Social Support NeedsYour role will include:- Providing one-to-one or small group support to students.- Assisting the class teacher with tailored lesson plans and activities.- Building positive and trusting relationships with students to foster engagement and learning.- Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour in a calm and effective manner.- Promoting a safe and inclusive environment that encourages personal development.To be successful in this role, you must have:- A valid DBS check that is registered on the Update Service, or the willingness to obtain one.- The ability to work flexibly in either a full-time or part-time capacity.- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential).- Experience working with secondary school aged children ideally in an SEN or PRU setting (preferred but not essential).- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting young people.Why Work with Aspire People?Aspire People is committed to supporting both our schools and staff.
