Full-Time Teaching Assistant (Key Stage 2)

Are you passionate about supporting children's learning and development? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team in a Key Stage 2 class at a friendly, two-form entry primary school located in a South Chesterfield suburb.

Position Details:
  • Role: Teaching Assistant (Key Stage 2)

  • Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, term time only

  • Contract: Fixed-term until July 2025, with the potential to continue into the next academic year. Initially offered on a temporary basis, with the opportunity to become a permanent role.

  • Location: South Chesterfield Multi Form Primary school

About the Role:

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting children's learning within the classroom. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons.

  • Supporting children with booster sessions and targeted interventions to help them achieve their full potential.

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support as needed.

  • Contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

About You:
  • Proven experience working in a primary school setting is essential.

  • While a formal TA qualification is not required, strong knowledge and experience in supporting children's learning, particularly in Key Stage 2, is necessary.

  • A proactive and supportive approach to working with children and staff.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
