Full-Time Teaching Assistant - Primary School in Chesterfield

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly team at a vibrant two-form entry primary school located in the North Chesterfield suburb. This is a full-time position, supporting Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) students who are working below their expected progress in key subject areas.

Key Details
  • Start Date: January 2025 (or ASAP)
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
  • Contract: Fixed-term until July 2025
Role Responsibilities
  • Provide targeted support to KS1 and KS2 students, helping them close gaps in their learning across core subjects.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored interventions and adapting the curriculum to meet individual learning needs.
  • Create a nurturing and supportive learning environment for all pupils.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teacher as needed.
What We're Looking For
  • A Level 2 (or above) Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Confidence and experience in supporting the KS1 and KS2 curriculum.
  • A passion for helping children succeed and a patient, proactive approach to learning support.
  • Availability to work full-time during the specified hours.
