We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Coordinator to join our vibrant primary school in Chesterfield. This is a primarily non-teaching role focused on leading our Integrated Resource Unit and ensuring that all pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) receive the support they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Integrated Resource Unit, including overseeing Teaching Assistants (TAs) and teaching staff.
  • Develop and implement tailored support plans to meet the individual needs of pupils with SEND.
  • Collaborate with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure high-quality provision.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEN strategies across the school.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and contribute to EHCP reviews and documentation.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience in managing SEND provision (applications from ECTs with relevant SEN experience are welcome).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage staff and liaise with stakeholders.
  • A passion for inclusive education and the ability to advocate for pupils with SEND.
