Secondary College Gym Instructor & PE Support (Immediate Start)

Are you passionate about fitness and inspiring young people to achieve their full potential? Our Secondary College is seeking a Gym Instructor & PE Support to join our dynamic Physical Education team. This is a full-time, long-term position based primarily in our state-of-the-art college gym, with an immediate start. You may also be asked to help and participate in the Duke of Edinburgh.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the college gym, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for students.
  • Design and lead fitness programs tailored to various student needs and abilities.
  • Assist the PE department with general physical education classes and activities.
  • Provide one-on-one and group fitness coaching to students.
  • Ensure gym equipment is properly maintained and safe for use.
  • Support extra-curricular sports and fitness activities when required.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualifications in fitness instruction, gym management, or a related field (Level 2 Gym Instructor or equivalent).
  • Experience working with young people in an educational or fitness setting.
  • Passionate about health, fitness, and student wellbeing.
  • Excellent communication and motivational skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and support the PE department with various activities.
