Technical Sales Engineer

White Label are excited to be working with a specialist mechanical engineering business in their search for a Technical Sales Engineer. Their core focus is to provide customers with customised technical solutions approach as they pride themselves on their niche market expertise and customer-centric approach.

The Role

This role involves dealing with enquiries and specifying customer solutions based on the companys core technologies. This is an opportunity to be part of niche market leader with a strong knowledge base and collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities of the Technical Sales Engineer:

• Follow up on customer enquiries and provide technical solutions
• Act as the first and last point of contact for customers
• Conduct customer visits, typically 3-4 times per month
• Work closely with design, project management, and technical teams to develop customised solutions.
• Produce quotations and follow those up with customers
• Maintain and develop relationships with key accounts and new clients
• Understand customer requirements and translate them into technical specifications

Requirements for the Technical Sales Engineer:

• Essential:
  • Ability to read technical drawings.
  • HNC or HND level education in a technical field
  • 2-3 years of experience in a technical sales role
  • Strong communication skills and a problem-solving mindset
  • Understanding of small business dynamics and a collaborative attitude
• Desirable:
  • Background in engineering or chemical engineering
  • Experience with materials handling or production line processes
  • Familiarity with the fine chemical, metal powders, 3D printing, additive manufacturing, and food industries

Package details:

• £40,000 - £45,000 with up to 20% annual bonus
