Are you an organised Administrator from a Travel Industry background? We're recruiting an Operations Executive for a sports specialist Tour Operator, to oversee the planning and delivery of overseas group tours. If you have previously worked within group travel, sports travel or Tour Operations in an operational role, this could be your next career move! In return you will receive a competitive starting salary of circa £26k pa, plus bonus and further benefits (included exceptional annual leave policy)! You will be within commuting distance of Chesterfield, though hybrid, flexible working is offered!

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Liaise with airlines, transport and accommodation providers throughout the pre-delivery and delivery process
  • Working to deadlines to ensure timely delivery as well as being conscious of budgets
  • Build tour packages within the booking system, ensuring that all details are accurate and up to date during the pre-sales and sales period
  • Monitor and control tour stock within the booking system, providing updates to the wider team and resolving stock queries
  • Working with the sales team to expedite enquiries and give accurate sales prices for any deviations to standard packages
  • Create detailed and accurate client final tour documents
  • Logging, monitoring and reporting on supplier stock hand back and payment deadlines
  • Research excursions and activity programs for clients to book prior to tours departing
  • Working closely with the marketing team to ensure all information is correctly displayed on the website and any travel related marketing communications
  • Working with suppliers and internal staff to ensure that all Health & Safety Audit requirements are complete and accurate
  • Create detailed and accurate Tour Managers packs
  • Coordination of Tour Managers on tour to include daily briefings, troubleshooting, crisis management
  • Coordinate Tour Manager tour travel plans from flights to accommodation
  • Coordinate client travel logistics on a large scale in location on tour
  • Research and source accommodation for tours
  • Collaborate with the customer service team to enhance the customer journey and resolve any operational issues that arise, maintaining the aim of customer delight.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

The successful candidate will have previous experience in an operations role within the travel industry, ideally having worked for a Tour Operator that specialising in group travel and/or sport. You will have sound knowledge Microsoft Office, be organised and able to work to deadlines, with good attention to detail skills. You will be customer focused and enjoy being part of a collaborative team.
