CNC Machinist Wood (Nights)


Location:Chesterfield, S41

Salary:£15.00 per hour

Shifts:Nights, Regular, Full time - Monday to Thursday (Nights)

  • 3pm till 3am - Thursday 3pm till 12.00pm

Reporting to:Operations Manager

Contract: 12 week temporary to permanent

CNC Machinist Key Duties:

  • CNC Machines - wood (SCM Machines)
  • Be capable of learning new techniques whilst following detailed instructions.
  • Keep the department clean and tidy.
  • Follow company procedures as laid down in the staff handbook.
  • Once trained, load and unload material manually or with hoists or cranes, depending on weight and size.
  • Assist experienced operators in the safe loading and unloading of tooling.
  • Maybe required to carry out other duties in other departments as assigned by Lead/Supervisor or Management.
  • Responsible for the safe and proper packaging, identifying, and moving of all finished products to the correct location.

Skill Requirements:

  • Ability to work well as a team member.
  • Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures.
  • Position requires the ability to operate precision measuring devices such as callipers, square, micrometres, protractors, and tape measures.
