Fleet Controller | UK (Central Region) | £45,000 - £50,000
Are you an experienced Account Manager with the emotional intelligence to manage complex relationships and oversee a major fleet account? Our client is looking for a dynamic and commercially astute Fleet Controller to manage their second-largest account.
This is a key position that offers significant autonomy and the chance to shape the future of a growing and innovative business.
You’ll be the driving force behind maintaining and growing relationships with stakeholders, overseeing day-to-day operations, and ensuring that the company’s brand is represented to the highest standards. Key responsibilities:
- Manage a fleet of 780 wagons and maintain a high standard of operations.
- Build and nurture relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure efficient maintenance processes with a third-party maintenance provider.
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to identify and drive growth opportunities within the account.
- Act as the ‘figurehead’ for the company with client representing the organisation on-site.
- Handle complex, multi-stakeholder relationships with internal and external partners.
Candidate Essentials:
- Demonstrable ability to manage complex relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen, with experience managing large accounts.
- Proven experience in the Rail sector or similar high-integrity industries.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to be an effective over-communicator.
- Resilient and forward-thinking with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Qualifications:
-Technical understanding or the ability to quickly develop knowledge in a technical environment.
-Experience managing third-party maintenance contracts and service delivery.
-Ability to navigate complex environments with multiple stakeholders.
Desirable:
- A background in commercial sales or business development.
