Our client, an independent firm of Chartered Accountants, is seeking a Bookkeeper to join their team in Chichester, West Sussex.
The role involves daily bookkeeping, management accounts, VAT, and client liaison while building lasting relationships.
Candidates should have at least 18 months to two years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in practice.
A good working knowledge of Xero is advantageous, with some familiarity with Sage also considered beneficial.

Our client, a forward thinking, independent firm of Chartered Accountants are seeking a Bookkeeper to join their team in Chichester, West Sussex.

The role will involve dealing with bookkeeping, Management Accounts and VAT for a variety of companies and will include:-

Daily bookkeeping
Liaising with a variety of clients and building lasting relationships
Advising and training clients on XERO
Assisting with the production of monthly accounts and reports
Reconciliation balance sheet and profit and loss accounts
Preparation and posting journals for payroll, prepayments, accruals, fixed assets, VAT etc.
VAT returns
Bank reconciliations
Other ad-hoc duties

You will ideally have at least 18 months to two years bookkeeping experience, preferably in practice, although they will also consider someone with a commercial background.

A good working knowledge of Xero would also be an advantage and to a lesser extent Sage.
